With focus and determination, Daniel Bruce is making his dreams a reality. I’m feeling the direction of his tie line. We recently caught up with Daniel to talk about what his inspiration is.
How long have you been running DIBI?
4+ Years
How long have you known you wanted to do what you are currently working on?
To be honest, this wasn’t something I imagined myself doing 10 years ago. But now, there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.
Why are you passionate about what you do?
There is something very gratifying about turning an ordinary product that men and women from all walks of life, can incorporate into their unique personal styles.
How did you overcome your own doubts and the doubts of other people?
There wasn’t any room for doubt—I took a leap of faith.
What were some bumps you hit to get where you’re at now?
Taking the financial hit to reinvest all of my profits into the next season year after year.
What is one thing you did wrong in the past that you can share with people?
I think it’s important for everyone to make their own mistakes.
What is a way you got your name out there?
Establishing and cultivating relationships with all of those I met along the way.
Is there anything that almost stopped you from doing this?
So far so good!
Is there anyone in your profession that you admire and/or model yourself after?
I have great respect for many individuals in my profession and was taught that you can learn something from everyone.
How do you continue to perfect your craft?
By finding the right balance between playing it safe and taking risks.
How do you envision the future of your product/services?
I plan on continuing to provide a fashionable and quality driven product that never runs flat. DIBI will be an accessory in every closet.
What’s some advice you can share for anyone who wants to pursuit what you are doing?
Don’t half ass it. If you really want to start and succeed with any company, it’s going to take sacrifice and patience.
You have a nice online website. How much of your business is driven by online buyers/clients?
Yes! Not only does it provide a gloabl sales platform, but having an online presence is crucial for any companies survival.
