Batul Loomans Brings Us to Meditation Through His Jewlery Line Buddha to Buddha

Batul Loomans has found peace through his company.

Growing up in the fashion business with his parents, he was groomed into being able to create something beautiful for the world and sustain a company full of passionate and motivated individuals while doing it. We recently caught up with Batul, to see where the inspiration for his line Buddha to Buddha comes from.

Please describe your position at your company.

Founder Buddha to Buddha . Since 1992 .

How long have you known you wanted to do what you are currently working on?

My parents where in the fashion business for 40 years . I helped them picking their outfits to go to fancy parties from an early age . My mother’s jewelry collection was for me, her swimmedailles that I would hang on my shirts going to high school .

Why are you passionate about what you do?

Being a lonely meditation practicer for a long time made me realize that working together is the biggest bliss experience . All people working for Buddha to Buddha have a certain talent where we cook a beautiful jewelry soup from .

How did you overcome your own doubts and the doubts of other people?

Doubts are from the mind . Wisdom comes from the heart . When the mind slows down all that has to be seen will show up . Meditation brings us clarity and more playfulness to create that makes us all more happy people.

What were some bumps you hit to get where you’re at now?

Enough bumps on the road. A good bump gives a nice massage to our souls . It wakes up our senses that we need to make up out of our dreams .

A fast lift of the silver price a few years ago almost got us on the back . A great lesson in keeping sharp in many directions .

What is one thing you did wrong in the past that you can share with people?

If there are difficulties between people in your company learn to share instead of gossiping to much . Be honest to yourself and how you deal with situations . Have a close look to your own blind-spots and learn from the others. Don’t judge to fast . We are all humans that are here to learn from ourselves and others .

And don’t forget it is all a cosmic joke anyhow ….more looseness …more …creativity…more…fun …..less stress …bingo…

What is a way you got your name out there?

My first bracelets we made in 1992 now 24 years ago . Only the last 10 years the name is growing because of my professional partners and colleagues . Make beautiful durable stuff and people will keep it for the rest of there lives . They are your ambassadors . So take care of them .

Is there anything that almost stopped you from doing this?

Yes of course that is part of the deal . Share share share … and be still and meditate …

Is there anyone in your profession that you admire and/or model yourself after?

I admire the craftsmen that have the skills to make our silver pieces step by step every day . It takes more than 3 days to finish one piece . The stillness in the hands , the timing, the eye ,the finishing they are the boys who do the job …

How do you continue to perfect your craft?

To look in the organization who brings out the best in her or him self and support that person in that where he or she is good in . Get people in from outside to look with fresh eyes to the total organization and let them coach us . That is happening right now and is bringing in many fresh ideas and openings .

How do you envision the future of your product/services?

We are very proud to work with the best craftsmen we good find on this planet concerning silver jewelry. We keep a tradition rolling that is hundreds of years old . If we keep on training the right people to uplift there skills than that is part of our future .

You have a great website! How much of your business is driven by online buyers/clients?

The half of May 2014 we launch our new website www.buddhatobuddha.com The first connection with our brand is for 80 % by the website . We found a good partner who translated our look and feel nicely to our website. Let’s see what happens…
