We all know the saying, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,” which means that beauty can take many shapes and forms. You can have a narrow or wide nose, dark or light skin, long or short hair, straight or curly hair – the list can go on and on. But what if I were to tell you that beauty rests on 1 important factor, CONFIDENCE. This trait is what gets you noticed regardless of how you look like and what people regard as physically beautiful. Confidence is the ultimate must have beauty secret!
Why is confidence such an important factor when it comes to beauty? Confidence is what shapes your appearance inside and out. Let’s start with the inside. When a person is confident with themselves, they take care of their bodies. They eat healthy foods that promote a clear glowing complexion, as well as give them the energy they need to exercise in order to stay fit. Confidence is also what drives people to take care of their exterior selves. This means these individuals with confidence take the time to look their best. You can see them looking put together with their clothes nicely styled and hair all done with a swagger that can’t be missed. So now comes the million dollar question, “how do I attain confidence in who I am?”
The only way to attain true self-confidence is to love yourself and that includes loving your imperfections too. It’s knowing that you are doing everything you can to be the amazing person that are. Confidence is to know that you give your best and do your best in everything you attempt. Why do you think you feel lousy after a bad performance on a project or a test? That’s because you didn’t do everything in your power that you could have done. So when you think about it, confidence isn’t really attained, it is earned. Unfortunately, there is no easy solution to earn true self-confidence. It’s a life long process, and a continuous one at that. Just like you can earn confidence, you can easily lose it. But if you strive to always live your life in honesty and integrity, then confidence & beauty will be with you always.
