Please describe your position at your company:

I am the owner and founder of Dope Junkyard. It has been open for less than a year and has been doing great things.

How long have you known you wanted to do what you are currently working on?

I was always gifted at having a special taste in fashion and style but I never knew I wanted to have a job involved with fashion until a year or two ago after I went through tremendous depression in my first year of college. I woke up during winter break in my dark room with food and junk everywhere and had a series of amazing ideas. I decided to create Dope Junkyard.

Why are you passionate about what you do?

Im passionate about what I do because its exciting. Its never about the money, I have a true passion and something unique. There is no other store out there in the world like Dope Junkyard. Im far from cocky but I know that my store has the power to do unbelievable things for the world. I wake up everyday excited about my store likes its the first day.

How did you overcome your own doubts and the doubts of other people?

People will always tell you what to do, but they’ve never done it. I don’t listen to much negativity but at the same time i’m always smart about the advice I receive. You just have to be smart and know that nobody can stop you but yourself. “They gone judge you anyways, so whatever” -Kid Cudi

What were some bumps you hit to get where you’re at now?

Man there where a lot of bumps in the road to get here, and im sure there are hundreds more to go since my store is still new. The biggest setback that I commonly face is time. I always want to do things but I am a huge perfectionist and I want everything to be the best it can be for the people and the supporters so sometimes the timing isn’t where I always want it to be.

What is a way you got your name out there?

Some ways I got my name out there are word of mouth, newspaper interviews, tv interviews, and more. Word of mouth has been the most powerful influence on Dope Junkyard.

Is there anything that almost stopped you from doing this?

Once I got the idea for Dope Junkyard, I told myself that nothing would stop me. Nothing at all, it was an automatic thought to me.

Is there anyone in your profession that you admire and/or model yourself after?

I admire many people in fashion, but two of the biggest inspirations to me are Pharrell and Kanye. Their vision is unique, their power, and movements are on a whole other level. They are both some of my favorite artists and icons, they don’t care about what everybody else thinks.

What is one thing you did wrong in the past that you can share with people?

One thing I did wrong in the past was to try to make everybody happy by listening to everybody when in reality you need to listen to what you think and follow your instincts. Always follow your instincts.

How do you continue to perfect your craft?

I try to continue to perfect my craft by learning more about the business side of things as well as trying to master the behind the scenes work that people don’t really get to see. Everyday is a process to get better and become the best.

How do you envision the future of your product/services?

I envision the future of my store Dope Junkyard as one of the best stores in history. I plan on having some retail locations as well as many other surprises to come but you just have to wait and see. Next question! haha

We like your website layout. How much of your business is driven by online buyers/clients?

Most of my business is driven by online buyers since my store is just online at the moment but in the near future I plan on having a brick and mortar physical store.

Where can people go to find out more about your awesome products/services?

If you want to check out my store you can go towww.dopejunkyard.com
