There are constant discussions about women, body image, being too sexual, showing too much. I have very strong opinions about how women should treat their body and their sexuality. Like you can read in my article “Stop obsessing over social media pictures” I made it very clear that it is not necessary to get yourself naked for Instagram pictures to get attention, because thousands of likes won’t give you nothing more than the fact that you have gave your naked self to the world and getting nothing back. As a model I know very well what is the difference of getting naked for a photoshoot with talented photographer and getting paid for it and getting naked for free just for Likes and attention. I believe that woman body is her power and it should be treated with respect. I want to see young girls understand that being sexy is not giving yourself away, being hot is not showing off your skin, being beautiful is not bootytooching. The most gorgeous form of woman is her confidence to be who she is, doing what she loves and having no need to show off anything.
For a past week tabloids are clapping hands for Rihanna being almost nude at CDFA Awards and later on her badass response to TLC’s comment. It made me think, why I don’t see anything wrong with nowadays one of the biggest role model for young girls being naked almost everywhere lately. After few days analyzing all of that in my head I realized why Rihanna being topless on the cover of Lui Magazine and wearing see-through dress on red carpet seems more like a good thing to me.
At first Rihanna is not sexualising anything, she even don’t act sexual while she does what she does. Her act is so confident and you can see she is literally doing her. Here it is, what is different with chicks posing their bums up in the air and sexualizing their actions and just being yourself and being as real as you can. Rihanna is a young woman who have lived her life fully, she have become a woman in front of the whole world and she embraces her beauty. TLC comment about how sex sells made me actually laugh a little. Because Rihanna have already sold herself(as a artist with her voice and lifestyle) for a past decade. For her getting nude won’t get her more fans or record selling’s, because she already have +35million people following her on Twitter, she is already the world top selling female artist, there is not much space to go higher than that.
So for the parents who are freaking out for Rihanna being a bad influence, I suggest to sit and calm down. Rihanna is a great role model for young girls to show them how to be confident in their body with their natural curves and embracing their beauty as they are. Rihanna is not a role model who is posing around with her bones in your face and she is also not a chick showing off butt implants(what nowadays many celebs are doing). I am not telling that your kids should be running around in see-through dresses, definitely not. But she is the perfect example what the “real woman” role model should be.
Rihanna have made it clear several times that she is not pull and pushed around by her management and have a pretty loud voice when it comes to her image. And how is Rihanna being feminine and elegant in gorgeous designer gown even close to what “all times most tweaking white girl” Miley did to show her new image? The way you look, have a lot to do the way you act.
I really don’t care what you wear or are you nude, but in the end what counts are your actions and how you respect yourself. I prefer to see more woman being nude, but until they know their worth, they are confident in their own skin and they have their act together. You can be as dressed as you want, but if you are twerking around and rubbing your bum to married mans down stair section is a different story. We all have a body, every woman have boobs, vagina and a ass, we all are made in the same way, so there really is not much to hide, but the difference is how you use your body. I suggest to stop this soft porn talk and worry about how somebody dresses or don’t dress at all. World is spinning around the visual pictures, but what we really should pay attention on are peoples actions!
