Skating has become  a notable sport and some skaters have really changed the game. These skaters have went above and beyond to put their own spin on the sport.

 

 

1.) Mark Gonzales

Mark Gonzales- “The Gonz” is known  as a pioneer of modern street skateboarding, and was named by the Transworld Skateboarding magazine as the “Most Influential Skateboarder of all Time.” Check out some sick footage of the Gonz himself below:

2.) Tony Hawk

Anthony Frank “Tony” Hawk is well known for completing the first documented 900and for his licensed video game titles. He is considered to be the most successful and influential pioneers of modern vertical skateboarding.

3.) Rodney Mullen

John Rodney Mullen  is credited with inventing numerous skateboarding tricks, including the flatground ollie, kickflip, heelflip, impossible, and 360-flip.

4.) Cristian Hosoi

Christian Rosha Hosoi started skating at eight years old. He joined Dogtown Skateboards. After Dogtown went out of business shortly thereafter, he turned pro at the age of 14 with Sims Skateboards.

5.) Eric Koston

Eric Koston co-owns both Fourstar Clothing and the Skatepark/website “The Berrics.”
